Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Stratus Ventures LLC for using PostBox. Last updated September 19, 2026.

By downloading or using PostBox you agree to what follows. PostBox is owned and operated by Stratus Ventures LLC, and “we” below means that company.

Who may use PostBox

You must be at least 16 to use PostBox. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for, so there is nothing for us to check — but the platforms you connect have their own age rules and you are agreeing to those when you connect them.

The licence

PostBox is free. Use it on as many Macs as you like, for personal and for commercial work. You may not resell it or redistribute it.

Your accounts and your posts

PostBox acts on the social accounts you connect, using sessions you signed in to yourself. You remain responsible for what is posted from them, and for keeping to each platform's own terms — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any of them. If a platform objects to how you use it, that is between you and that platform.

YouTube

YouTube in PostBox uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel, you agree to be bound by YouTube's Terms of Service.

Platforms change

Posting works through each platform's own API, using a session you signed in to yourself. Those APIs change without notice, and when one does, posting to it can stop working until we publish a fix — usually the same day, and without you needing to update. We cannot guarantee that any particular platform keeps working indefinitely, and a platform listed as coming soon is an intention rather than a promise.

Plans and billing

There are none. PostBox is free, there is no subscription, no paid tier and no payment method on file. Nothing here bills you, so there is nothing to cancel and no renewal to be surprised by.

PostBox Pro existed and was withdrawn. Nobody was ever charged for it.

Ending it

You can stop using PostBox at any time by deleting the app. That removes everything it kept, because everything it kept was on your Mac — there is no account here to close and no record of you for us to delete. Disconnecting a platform inside PostBox revokes the token it held for that platform; deleting the app without disconnecting leaves those tokens valid at the platform, so revoke them there if that matters to you.

We may refuse service to anyone using PostBox to break these terms, to attack our services, or to post content that is illegal — and if we do, we will say why.

Post only what you have the right to post. You keep every right in what you send through PostBox — we take no licence in it beyond what is needed to hand it to the platform you chose.

If you believe something sent through PostBox infringes your copyright, our designated agent and the notice procedure are on the copyright page. We cut off repeat infringers. There is no account here to close, so the remedy is the one we have: we refuse service, and we revoke the platform connections PostBox holds for that user through each platform's own API, so PostBox can no longer post on their behalf. We may act sooner where the infringement is flagrant. Where a notice concerns a post that has already been published, the platform it was published to is the only party that can take it down, and a valid notice should go to them as well as to us.

Warranty and liability

PostBox is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to PostBox is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including a post that did not go out, went out late, or went out in a form you did not intend. Check your posts.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes with them. We hold no email address for you, so that date is the notice — continuing to use PostBox after it changes means the new terms apply.
